Compliance Manager

TRR is recruiting for a Compliance Manager role on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract which consists of managing a small team. This is an opportunity to join a Legal 500 firm with a great reputation and at a really exciting time, with multiple new people strategy initiatives.
This is a good opportunity for a Compliance Manager in-between roles or at Senior Analyst level candidate with some people mentoring / leadership experience to step up into a manager role. This is a maternity leave cover role and the firm has a fantastic culture and appetite for good compliance.
Working arrangements – Bournemouth (Hybrid 1-2 DPW), Southampton or London (with 1-2 DPW in Bournemouth)
Salary – £65 – £75k + Benefits

The Role:
- Lead a small compliance team (~5/6) to ensure exceptional standards of regulatory compliance.
- Ensure policies, key documents, and risk registers up to date in line with the latest regulations.
- Oversee the Lexcel and CQS accreditations.
- Monitor and identify regulatory changes, implementing necessary updates and carrying out any training.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to enhance processes and compliance frameworks.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Strong experience in compliance management within a law firm / legal services environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory frameworks around legal compliance.
- Experience across most areas of compliance – AML, Conflicts, PEPs, -Sanctions, CDD etc.
- Good leadership / mentoring / tutoring skills.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and written.
