Our financial Services client based in the Northwest are seeking 1 or more Cyber Security Analysts at an exciting time for the business. You will be joining a brand-new team in an established business at the start of a 5-year transformation. This could be an opportunity to super charge your Cyber career and help develop a lot of the Cyber policies, processes and procedures for a fast-growing business.

 

The organisation is based in the Northwest and operates a hybrid model whereby in an ideal world you would attend the office once to twice per week, but they are open to alternative options to secure the best talent. Expenses would be covered when staying over to attend the office. The salary on offer is dependent on expectations, and they are open to hiring one or more candidates at different levels – Junior & Mid.

 

The Role:

Support the CSO in assuring the effectiveness of the organisation’s cyber security controls, governance, and compliance activities. Assist in maintaining a strong security posture across cloud, endpoint, and network environments, ensuring alignment with recognised frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Zero Trust principles. You will maintain policy, process & procedures with evidence and control records with the GRC platform. You will conduct cyber risk assessments and identify control gaps. Key Skills / Requirements:

  • Professional experience in a Cyber Security Analyst role ranging from 1 year and above (Junior & Mid-Level should apply)
  • Exposure to Microsoft security tools such as Defender, Purview, Intune, and Sentinel
  • Keen interest in Cyber policies, procedures, processes and documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cyber Security frameworks such as ISO or NIST
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, patching, and endpoint protection
  • Analytical, personable and able to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience working in financial services or any other regulated environment.
  • Certifications such as CSSP, Security+, Cyber Essentials or equivalent.
