TRR are excited to announce a new permanent opportunity for a Lead ServiceNow Developer. In this role, you will lead a team of ServiceNow developers, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions, primarily focusing on the ITSM module, but also potentially involving ITOM, HR, and other modules. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities to deliver business value through effective ServiceNow deployments. The role is based in Manchester with hybrid working (1 day in the office per week) offering £65k – £75k + Bonus / Benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Give technical guidance and mentorship to the ServiceNow development team.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of development tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and other teams to align development work with business requirements.
- Offer technical support to other teams and assist in resolving technical issues.
- Hands-on delivery of change requests for ServiceNow modules.
- Influence and recommend solutions for prioritizing new requirements, ensuring transparency and audit trails.
- Analyse and improve existing processes, using, and maintaining administrative tools like Azure DevOps and the ticketing system.
- Monitor and correct software defects to maintain system integrity.
- Write and maintain code specifications and user documentation.
- Analyse the performance of the ServiceNow platform and take corrective actions as needed.
- Provide build estimates for assigned tasks.
- Develop new features and enhancements based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and implement necessary program modifications.
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience working with ServiceNow.
- Expertise in ServiceNow Integration, particularly with service graph connectors.
- Proven ability to take proactive end-to-end ownership of product delivery, ensuring reliable hosting, smooth release management, and consistent quality.
- Deep knowledge and experience with workflows in key ServiceNow areas such as ITSM, CSM, ITOM, and SecOps.
- Strong skills in scripting and ServiceNow APIs.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS, and HTML is a plus.
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
