Senior Associate – Valuation & Risk (Private Equity / AIFM)
Location: Luxembourg (with exposure to Paris / London / international offices)
Compensation: €95,000 – €120,000 + bonus (40–50%)
Overview
We are supporting a leading European private markets investment platform with a strong international footprint, operating across multiple jurisdictions including Luxembourg, Paris, London and the United States.
As part of the continued growth of its AIFM platform, the firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate – Valuation & Riskto strengthen its governance framework and support increasing regulatory and operational demands.

Role Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the firm’s valuation framework across private equity portfolios
- Contribute to risk management activities, with a focus on valuation risk and fund-level exposure
- Act as a key interface between:
- Risk
- Valuation / Accounting
- Compliance
- Senior management
- Participate in the preparation and review of valuation models, methodologies and documentation
- Assist in ensuring alignment with AIFM regulatory requirements and interactions with the Luxembourg regulator
- Contribute to governance processes, including internal committees and reporting
- Support the continuous improvement of processes, including automation and integration of new tools (e.g. AI / data-driven solutions)
- Work closely with international teams across Luxembourg, Paris, London and other offices
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 7–10 years’ experience in:
- Valuation
- Fund accounting
- Risk within asset management / private equity / AIFM environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Private markets valuation methodologies
- Fund structures and governance frameworks
- Experience in a regulated environment (Luxembourg or equivalent) is highly desirable
Technical Skills
- Solid analytical and financial modelling capabilities
- Strong understanding of valuation processes and controls
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (AIFM, fund governance)
- Interest in process optimisation, including use of data and AI tools
Soft Skills
- Highly independent and proactive
- Strong adaptability within a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and cultures
