Role: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Working arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days remote
Languages: Dutch, French & English – all mandatory
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong business analysis and functional analysis skills to support a ServiceNow environment within a large-scale organisation. The role sits within a ServiceNow team focused on improving and simplifying the end-to-end management of client requests through workflow automation, transparency and effective collaboration across teams.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and other contributors to understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements and help shape solutions within ServiceNow.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous ServiceNow experience, together with an understanding of Agile delivery and experience taking ownership of features, products or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and challenge business/client needs, taking a client-centric approach.
- Assess requirements against functional and technical feasibility and the wider tooling strategy.
- Gather, analyse and formally validate business requirements.
- Use mock-ups, visuals and other techniques to validate requirements with stakeholders.
- Define and analyse business processes and models using techniques such as UML and ARIS.
- Understand end-to-end processes and data flows.
- Analyse and document new processes and data models within ServiceNow.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for ServiceNow solutions.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation and requirements in line with squad standards.
- Support functional analysis so developers have sufficient information to work autonomously.
- Work closely with developers, stakeholders and other delivery contributors.
- Support end-to-end testing and validation of new functionality.
- Assist with business onboarding and change management.
- Act as a key interface between business and technical stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks, constraints, impediments and issues.
- Take ownership of features / initiatives within an Agile environment where required.
- Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Required Experience
- 6+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a closely related role.
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.
- Some functional analysis experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with business process modelling and conceptual modelling.
- Knowledge of UML, ARIS and/or mock-up techniques.
- Good understanding of workflow processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Fluent Dutch – mandatory.
- Fluent French – mandatory.
- Fluent English – mandatory.
- Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable Experience
- Previous ServiceNow experience.
- Functional and/or technical understanding of ServiceNow.
- Agile / Scrum experience.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Feature Owner or OPUS Owner.
- Previous experience within banking or financial services.
